Tuesday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:
Pharma Owns ‘the Science.’ We Must Take It Back Big Pharma’s control over scientific research, medical education, and public health policy stems from its significant financial influence on universities, medicalschools, and scientific journals. This dominance allows pharmaceutical companies to shape healthcare narratives in ways that prioritize corporate profits over public well-being. Concerns are raised about the industry’s promotion of synthetic antibiotics to address antimicrobial resistance, ignoring the importance of the human microbiome. Additionally, the continuous push for pandemic preparedness and vaccine development is viewed as a strategy to fuel fear and boost profits. The article calls for reclaiming scientific integrity by reducing Big Pharma’s influence on healthcare and research. Citizens are urged to demand transparency and truth in medical research and public health policy, as the current profit-driven healthcare model has distorted the foundational principles of science and medicine. The piece emphasizes the need to challenge the status quo and promote independent, objective scientific inquiry.

Hour 2
Almost 1 in 4 U.S. Adults Under 40 Have High Blood Pressure Two recent studies, presented at the American Heart Association’s scientific sessions, reveal a growing epidemic of high blood pressure amongyoung adults and children in the United States. Nearly 23% of adults aged 18 to 39 were found to have blood pressure readings above the healthy threshold of 130/80, according to the first study. Social determinants of health, such as poor education, low income, food insecurity, and lack of health insurance, were identified as key contributors to this issue. These individuals were found to be 80% more likely to have untreated blood pressure and 70% more likely to have uncontrolled hypertension. In the second study, researchers examined blood pressure in school-aged children, revealing that nearly 14% of kids aged 8 to 19 have elevated or high blood pressure. Boys were found to be more susceptible to hypertension, especially those with severe obesity, compared to girls. Both studies underscore the critical need for targeted public health interventions addressing the social determinants of health and promoting healthier lifestyles through diet and exercise. Early prevention efforts are vital to reducing the long-term risk of heart disease and stroke in these populations.

Questions of The Day!
What is the best homeopathic remedy for a skin tag on the face of a ten year old who’s not overweight or diabetic? We are considering Thuja occidentalis and causticum for our research. Is it best taken in a 30c twice or four times a day if it has been there for about three month and slowly growing? How long of a course would one expect to take it before the skin tag would dry up and fall off? Thanks for the help in evaluating our options.
