Friday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Cancer Is Striking More Young People, and Doctors Are Alarmed and Baffled Meilin Keen was studying for the bar exam and preparing to move to New York City last June when she started throwing up blood. Keen, 27 years old, learned days later that she has gastric cancer. She postponed the bar exam. Brain fog from chemotherapy made it hard to do her legal work. Surgeons removed her stomach in December. Keen is coming to terms with all that means for her diet, her health, even her dating life. “That’s a fun icebreaker: I don’t have a stomach anymore,” she said. Cancer is hitting more young people in the U.S. and around the globe, baffling doctors. Diagnosis rates in the U.S. rose in 2019 to 107.8 cases per 100,000 people under 50, up 12.8% from 95.6 in 2000, federal data show. A study in BMJ Oncology last year reported a sharp global rise in cancers in people under 50, with the highest rates in North America, Australia and Western Europe. Doctors are racing to figure out what is making them sick, and how to identify young people who are at high risk. They suspect that changes in the way we live—less physical activity, more ultra-processed foods, new toxins—have raised the risk for younger generations. “The patients are getting younger,” said Dr. Andrea Cercek, who co-directs a program for early-onset gastrointestinal cancer patients at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where Keen was treated. “It’s likely some environmental change, whether it’s something in our food, our medications or something we have not yet identified.”

With my dedication to God’s principles, every American can trust my focus to stay steadfast on the welfare of children, veterans, and national security. As one, we can foster hope, faith, and healing in our nation. By restoring justice and freedom with our compassion for each other and bringing honor and strength back to people, we will restore the economy and welfare of California.

I envision a future where Americans uphold and celebrate our Constitutional Rights by fighting together against child trafficking, respecting and giving aid to our veterans. To be a nation that stands on its sovereignty and self-sufficiency with a robust national security. “Free Our Nation” is more than a slogan; it’s a prayer and a promise for an America where freedom and justice are not aspirations, but God-given realities. Join me as ONE to accomplish this by fighting the establishment for “We The People.”

55 U.S. Doctors Behind Psychiatric Diagnosis Manual Took $14M From Drug Companies
A BMJ report revealed that 55 U.S. doctors involved in creating the American Psychiatric Association’s main diagnostic manual, the DSM-5-TR, received over $14 million in undisclosed industry funding. This funding raises concerns about conflicts of interest influencing psychiatric care guidelines. The DSM-5-TR, often referred to as the “bible” of psychiatric disorders, plays a crucial role in drug approvals and insurance coverage. The undisclosed industry ties of its contributors are seen as a significant ethical issue, potentially distorting care guidelines and eroding public trust. The report highlights that these conflicts of interest often lead to pro-industry thinking and conclusions, particularly in areas where drug interventions are standard treatments. The findings call for greater transparency and a systematic approach to address conflicts of interest in medical guideline development.

Joe Biden Faces Immediate Backlash in US After Bombing Yemen
President Joe Biden is facing domestic backlash following his decision to launch air strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen. The strikes, ordered in response to attacks on international shipping in the Red Sea, were carried out with assistance from the U.K., Australia, Bahrain, Canada, and the Netherlands. Biden stated that the strikes were intended to send a clear message against attacks on personnel and freedom of navigation in vital waterways. However, critics argue that the airstrikes could escalate the conflict and draw the U.S. into another prolonged Middle East war. Protests have erupted in various U.S. cities, with demonstrators accusing the administration of genocide and calling for an end to the bombings. Some Democratic congressmen have criticized the military intervention as unconstitutional and a potential risk to American troops. The Houthis have vowed to continue their attacks, warning of severe consequences for the U.S. and Britain.

Studies Reveal Potential Benefits of Chlorophyll in Cancer Prevention and Treatment
Recent studies have highlighted the potential benefits of chlorophyll, the green pigment in plants, in cancer prevention and treatment. Found in green leafy vegetables like spinach, kale, and broccoli, chlorophyll has been studied for its chemopreventive effects. One study in the Journal of Cancer Prevention Research tested spinach extract enriched with chlorophyll on animals, observing a significant decrease in liver and stomach tumors. Chlorophyll was found to slow tumor growth and prevent the transformation of healthy cells into cancerous ones. Additionally, chlorophyllin, a derivative of chlorophyll, was shown to reduce the effective dose of aflatoxin, a liver cancer carcinogen, by 55 percent. Beyond cancer prevention, chlorophyll is also known for its anti-inflammatory properties, immune system support, and potential to mitigate blood-related side effects of cancer treatments. While chlorophyll supplements are available, it’s advised to consult healthcare professionals before incorporating them into one’s diet.
