Modified Self-Amplifying RNA Provides Opportunities For New Vaccines And Treatments Researchers at Boston University have developed a promising modified self-amplifying RNA (saRNA) technology thatcould revolutionize vaccine development and treatments. This advancement overcomes the limitations of traditional mRNA vaccines by requiring much lower doses and reducing inflammatory responses. The study, published in Nature Biotechnology, demonstrated that their modified saRNA provided significantly higher antibody levels and better protection against SARS-CoV-2 in mice compared to conventional mRNA vaccines. This new approach could lead to more effective vaccines with fewer side effects, and potentially allow for single vaccines carrying multiple protein sequences. The lower dose requirement could also make vaccine production more efficient and affordable, paving the way for wider distribution and reduced need for booster shots.

Special Guest Shawn Needham

Shawn Needham, R.Ph. believes in educating and empowering 30s – 60s to take control and be in the driver’s seat for the care of their health. Over 25 years ago, Shawn and his wife, Janet – both pharmacists – opened up their compounding pharmacy – Moses Lake Professional Pharmacy – in the state of Washington, accepting insurance at first.  After a couple of years, they painfully realized that they were part of the problem and decided to take a stand and become part of the solution for their patients.Today, their cash only compounding pharmacy is thriving, specializing in BioIdentical Hormone Balancing and licensed in 4 states with more to come. Shawn decided to share not only the stories behind the medical experiences of his family and others, but also a succinct 6 step solution by writing a book Sickened: How the Government Ruined Healthcare and How to Fix It which has become a multi category Amazon Bestseller as well as changed lives. It was soon apparent that the conversation must be continued, so soon after, a podcast, Health Solutions with Shawn and Janet Needham, was launched first as a local radio show and now resides as a twice weekly live show that’s featured on all of the favorite podcast platforms. Shawn and Janet, along with 2 other hosts, are excited about their 3rd Medical Freedom Northwest event next May in Spokane, WA. Shawn enjoys being an avid endurance mountain bike athlete as well as spending time with Janet and their 2 sons.

Scientists sound the alarm over outdoor gene editing pesticides Scientists are warning about the potential dangers of using gene-editing pesticides in uncontrolled outdoor environments. These geneticpesticides, designed to be more environmentally friendly than chemical ones, could inadvertently alter the genes of non-target organisms, including humans, animals, and beneficial insects. A study using computer predictive modeling found that CRISPR/Cas gene-editing pesticides could affect various non-target species, with significant biological impacts. The deregulation of gene-editing technologies means these products might be used without adequate risk assessments or monitoring. The study’s findings highlight the urgent need for comprehensive environmental risk evaluations before deploying such technologies in agriculture. Researchers emphasize that the unintended gene editing could disrupt essential biological processes in non-target species, posing severe ecological and health risks.

Question of The Day!

Hello, RSB, Hannah here again : )
So, I’m American and living…abroad…with my husband and 3 kids. My husband is Romanian. We have made passports and report of birth abroad certificates for our kids (5y, 3y, and 4 months old), and since we haven’t applied for soc sec numbers…they are putting some pressure on us to apply now. Anyways, we are in a good position for educating ourselves in case we don’t want to apply, but we need resources. I remember you interviewed someone that was working with this professionally and I wondered if you could share the info with us? We want to make the best decision for these little people entrusted to us…
Thanks!
Hannah

Hour 2

Too many pills? How to talk to your doctor about reviewing what’s needed Many Americans, especially older adults, take multiple prescription medications daily, leading to potential issues like drug interactions and side effects. Experts recommend a process called “deprescribing” to manage and reduce unnecessary medications. This involves a thorough review of all medications by a trusted healthcare professional, such as a doctor or pharmacist. It’s advised to schedule a dedicated appointment specifically for this review to ensure enough time for a detailed discussion. Patients should be prepared to discuss all medications, including over-the-counter drugs and supplements. Asking critical questions, like whether a symptom could be related to a medication or if a drug is still necessary, can be powerful in managing medication overload. Gradual tapering of certain medications may be necessary to avoid withdrawal symptoms. Keeping a current list of all medications, including reasons for their prescription, is essential for effective management. This approach can lead to significant improvements in quality of life, as seen in cases where patients reduced their medication load under professional guidance.

Special Guest Hesu Whitten, DC

Dr. Whitten’s journey began at the University of California, Santa Barbara, where he studied psychology and struggled with shyness and a weak immune system. Influenced by his grandmother’s natural healing from cancer and his mother’s recovery from alcoholism, he developed an interest in alternative medicine. Despite athletic achievements, he battled internal issues until discovering muscle testing and kinesiology at age 12, which resurfaced a decade later as he pursued a career in massage therapy and bodywork.

During his time at Parker Chiropractic College, Dr. Whitten immersed himself in Applied Kinesiology (AK) and Clinical Kinesiology (CK), learning advanced techniques that integrated structural, biochemical, and energetic healing. His dedication to mastering these methods led him to create a comprehensive system for diagnosing and treating various health issues, focusing on the body’s innate intelligence to guide therapy. He continuously refined his skills, learning from experts like Dr. Pat Fox, and explored the metaphysical aspects of healing.

Dr. Whitten’s practice in Ojai, California, marked the beginning of his professional career, where he developed the Whitten Method, a holistic approach combining structural, nutritional, and energetic modalities. This patient-driven system emphasizes the body’s wisdom to choose appropriate treatments, aiming for profound healing and transformation. Dr. Whitten’s method has gained recognition for its simplicity, effectiveness, and potential to revolutionize holistic healthcare.

The job of the practitioner is to listen to what the body is requesting and deliver the therapies as precisely as possible. When this process is perfected, the body/mind functions incredibly efficiently and is able not only to heal itself but also reconnect to its potential to be creative, happy, and deeply relaxed.

Muscle testing is a way to listen to the innate intelligence of either yourself or another person. It’s a feedback system; a tool for accessing intuitive information. Some see it as a way to receive the requests that the body is transmitting.

Through these videos you will learn how to muscle test in the proper way.* Once you know how to get yes/no answers from the body (this takes some time to perfect), you can apply the technique to correcting structural, biochemical, and energetic imbalances. The muscle testing will guide you, through a simple flow chart, to the source of the issue and the therapies needed to correct it.

This work seeks to return us to low-tech healing. No gadgets, computers, or machines other than our own hands and our ability to trust our muscle testing guidance. This is the biggest challenge for most adults, as we have lost confidence in ourselves. We often look for an authority or computer to validate our findings. This then becomes a healing journey for us as practitioners as well, as you learn to trust your own authority.

Dating Divide Over Vaccination Status Splits Those Looking for a Partner The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly influenced the dating scene, creating a divide over vaccination status. Unvaccinated singles, like Courtney Furlong, find it increasingly challenging to find partners who share their views on vaccines. Events such as “pure blood” parties and social mixers for the unvaccinated, organized by platforms like Unjected.com, are becoming more common. These gatherings offer a space for like-minded individuals to meet and form connections based on shared health choices. Shelby Hosana, founder of Unjected.com, highlights that vaccination status has become a major factor in modern dating, often serving as a deal-breaker. Many dating sites now feature COVID-19 badges and filters to help users navigate this new landscape. Surveys indicate a significant social divide, with Democrats more likely than Republicans to prioritize vaccination status in dating profiles. This evolving dynamic underscores the broader societal impact of the pandemic on personal relationships and social interactions.
