Ten New Year’s Resolutions to Restore Medical Freedom The article by Clayton J. Baker, MD, outlines ten resolutions for advocates of medical freedom in response to the Covid-19 pandemic and its aftermath. These include speaking the truth about Covid, encouraging politicians to commit to medical freedom policies, working to outlaw all gain-of-function research, and pushing for the USA to exit the World Health Organization. The resolutions also call for the removal of Covid mRNA vaccines from the market, a moratorium on the mRNA-based pharmaceutical platform, repealing the 1986 Vaccine Act, ending vaccine mandates, stopping direct-to-consumer pharmaceutical advertising, and playing offense in the fight for medical freedom. The article emphasizes the need for continued vigilance and action to prevent the erosion of civil liberties and medical freedom.

Average American feels just ‘70% healthy’ A survey of 2,000 American adults reveals that on average, Americans perceive themselves as only 70% healthy. The survey, conducted by OnePoll for Cambia Health Foundation, found that 42% of participants who didn’t feel fully healthy couldn’t recall the last time they felt in peak health. Health is predominantly defined by respondents as eating nutritious foods (45%) and regular physical activity (41%), but only a small percentage recognize the importance of sleep and a positive mindset. Alarmingly, only 12% acknowledge the need for mental health care. The survey highlights confusion about what it means to be healthy, with 62% agreeing there are too many differing opinions. Half of the population has never received mental health care, citing various reasons including cost and time constraints. The study underscores the impact of social connections on mental well-being and the need for a holistic approach to health.

Marker of DNA damage seen in men applying Roundup and other glyphosate-based herbicides A study by the US National Institutes of Health has found indications of DNA damage in men applying Roundup and other glyphosate-based herbicides. The study, led by Vicky C. Chang et al, analyzed blood, urine, and mouth cells of licensed pesticide applicators and found a link between lifetime occupational use and a marker of DNA damage known as mosaic loss of chromosome Y (mLOY). mLOY is associated with blood cancers and Alzheimer’s disease. The findings suggest that greater lifetime glyphosate use correlates with higher prevalence of mLOY. This study provides new insights into the biological mechanisms through which glyphosate may contribute to genomic instability and supports the genotoxicity of glyphosate in humans.

Vibrating weight loss pill could provide alternative to Ozempic and Wegovy, researchers say Engineers at MIT have developed a vibrating pill that shows promise as a potential treatment for obesity. The capsule, designed to be swallowed before eating, vibrates to activate “stretch receptors” in the stomach, signaling the brain that the stomach is full. In a study, animals given the pill 20 minutes before eating consumed 40% less food and gained weight more slowly. The pill, about the size of a multivitamin, includes a small oxide battery and is activated by stomach acids. It stimulates the vagus nerve, triggering insulin production and reducing hunger hormone levels. This technology could offer a non-invasive, cost-effective alternative to surgeries and injectable medications for obesity. Human clinical trials are planned for 2024.

Vets, Active Duty Vow to Hold Military Leaders Accountable for COVID-19 Vaccine Mandate Over 200 military veterans, active-duty members, and spouses released an open letter vowing to hold senior military leaders accountable for enforcing the COVID-19 vaccine mandate on troops. They accuse military leaders of breaking the law, trampling constitutional rights, and causing harm to service members and families, including financial, emotional, and physical suffering. The signatories, including U.S. Congress candidates, plan to remove retirement pay for complicit military leaders and convene courts-martial for their crimes. They emphasize a long-term commitment to this endeavor, aiming to restore the rule of law and enforce the Constitution.

Did You Know That Soil Health Affects Human Health? This article discusses the connection between soil health and human health, emphasizing the importance of soil management practices in influencing the nutritional content of foods. The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine (NASEM) is investigating this link, focusing on how soil health affects the soil microbiome and, in turn, human health. The article highlights the vital relationship between soil, farming, and food, noting that soil biodiversity and microbial communities can enhance crop nutrient uptake and improve food’s nutritional value. It cites studies showing that organic farming supports healthier soils and more nutrient-dense crops. The Union of Concerned Scientists (UCS) advocates for a systems perspective in this research, considering the impact of different agricultural production systems on soil and human health, including the potential for soil health practices to address environmental toxins and climate change.
