Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Hour 1

Special Guest Jonathan Emord

In this Sacred Fire of Liberty edition of The Robert Scott Bell Show, I’m joined by Jonathan Emord as we dive into the pressing issues threatening our liberties. We kick off the show by celebrating the launch of the Long COVID Masterclass—an event we’ve all been waiting for—where I sat down with some of the brightest minds, including Jonathan, to dissect the constitutional challenges we’ve faced and chart a course forward. We also give a nod to the upcoming Trinity Health Freedom Expo, a gathering that’s all about empowering people to take control of their health.

But we don’t stop there. We take on the insanity coming out of the Democratic National Convention, where we see everything from mobile abortion clinics to a disturbing rise in anti-Israel rhetoric. The moral decay is real, and we’re here to expose it. Jonathan and I break down how these radical agendas are eroding the values that built this nation, and we don’t mince words when it comes to calling out the dangerous path we’re on.

We wrap up by shining a light on the economic destruction caused by government overreach and misguided policies like price controls. History has shown us where this leads, and it’s not pretty. We’re here to remind everyone that standing firm on our foundational principles is the only way to preserve liberty and economic stability in these challenging times. The power to heal—and to protect our freedoms—is still yours.

For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigatorwith a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for Townhall.com, PJ Media.com, Americangreatness.com, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. 31 Questions Dana Bash Should Ask Kamala Harris, Tim Walz in First Interview The article outlines 31 pressing questions that CNN’s Dana Bash should ask Vice President Kamala Harris and MinnesotaGovernor Tim Walz during their first joint interview. The questions span various critical topics, including the economy, immigration, freedom, and foreign policy. Economic questions focus on the potential consequences of Harris’s price control proposals, tax policies, and stance on electric vehicle mandates. Immigration queries challenge Harris on her position regarding border security, illegal entry decriminalization, and the impact of immigration on housing costs and American workers. On freedom, the article suggests asking Harris about the implications of her nomination process and the Biden administration’s alleged pressure on social media companies to censor Americans. Foreign policy questions probe Harris’s plans for U.S. involvement in Ukraine, relations with Russia and China, and the moral stance on Israel. The piece also includes pointed questions for Walz regarding his military service, pandemic lockdown orders, and handling of the 2020 Minneapolis riots. The article reflects a critical perspective on the candidates’ policies and their potential impact on American society.

Meta CEO admits Biden-Harris admin pressured company to censor Americans Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg admitted in a letter to House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan that the Biden-Harris administration pressured Facebook to censor certain COVID-19-related content, including humor and satire. Zuckerberg stated that in 2021, senior officials from the Biden administration repeatedly pushed Meta to take down specific content, expressing frustration when the company resisted. Although Meta ultimately made its own decisions regarding content moderation, Zuckerberg acknowledged that the government pressure was wrong and expressed regret for not being more outspoken against it at the time. He also noted that with the benefit of hindsight, some of the choices made under this pressure would not be repeated today. The White House responded by emphasizing that the administration encouraged responsible actions to protect public health during the pandemic, while maintaining that tech companies should independently manage the information they present. This admission comes as part of a broader investigation by the House Judiciary Committee into government influence over content moderation on online platforms.

Tax Experts: Harris’s Unrealized Capital Gains Tax Proposal Is Unworkable, ‘Constitutionally Suspect,’ ‘Economically Destructive’ Kamala Harris’s proposal to tax unrealized capital gains has drawncriticism from tax experts who argue it is both constitutionally suspect and economically harmful. The proposal, which aims to impose a 25% minimum tax on unrealized gains for individuals earning over $100 million, could increase taxes by $5 trillion over ten years. Experts warn that such a tax would be difficult to implement, create significant administrative challenges, and could have destructive economic effects. Critics point out that the proposal could lead to situations where the government owes large rebates to individuals when the value of their assets declines, as seen with Elon Musk’s net worth drop in 2022. The Cato Institute’s Adam Michel describes the tax as “unworkable,” adding that it would burden an already overstretched IRS. Additionally, the tax is seen as a populist measure that could eventually expand to affect small business owners and other taxpayers, further complicating its implementation and political acceptance. The article concludes that while the proposal targets the wealthy, its broader implications could undermine the engine of American prosperity.

Federal Lawsuit Challenges U.S.’s First Face Mask Ban Since the Pandemic A federal class action lawsuit has been filed against Nassau County, New York, challenging its newly enacted Mask Transparency Act, which bans the wearing of face masks or coverings in public to conceal identity, except for health or religious reasons. The law, believed to be the first of its kind since the COVID-19 pandemic, makes it a misdemeanor offense punishable by up to a year in jail and a $1,000 fine. Disability Rights New York, representing two anonymous plaintiffs with serious health conditions, argues that the ban violates the U.S. Constitution, the New York State Constitution, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act. The plaintiffs claim the law discriminates against people with disabilities by denying them equal access to public life, as they fear harassment and discrimination for wearing masks. Nassau County Executive Bruce Blakeman, named as a defendant, defended the law, asserting its constitutionality and reasonableness, while the law has drawn criticism from civil rights groups and some politicians.

A Stain on the Vermont Supreme Court The Vermont Supreme Court’s ruling in the case of Politella v. Windham Southeast School District has sparked significant controversy by effectively stripping parents of theirlegal rights to challenge the administration of experimental vaccines to their children without their consent. The court decided that parents cannot sue public school personnel for administering such vaccines unless they can prove willful misconduct that results in serious injury or death. This ruling was made under the federal Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act, which shields those involved in vaccine administration from legal liability. Critics argue that this decision ignores both federal and state constitutional liberties, including parental rights, and sets a dangerous precedent by prioritizing federal statutes over the U.S. Constitution. The court’s ruling has been likened to historical cases where federal preemption laws protected industries at the expense of public health, such as the tobacco industry. The decision is seen as a blow to parental rights and has raised concerns about the unchecked power of federal laws over individual rights and state sovereignty.

Hour 2

It’s Been 10 Years Since a Whistleblower Exposed the CDC’s Cover-up of the Link Between Vaccines and Autism. The Agency Has Done Nothing. A decade has passed since CDC senior scientist Dr. William Thompson revealed that the CDC had concealed data from a 2004 study, which indicated a link between the MMR vaccine and an increased risk of autism, particularly among African American boys who received the vaccine before 36 months of age. Despite Thompson’s whistleblowing, which included providing taped conversations and issuing a formal statement, the CDC has failed to take any corrective action. The agency continues to maintain that there is no connection between vaccines and autism, even as autism rates have surged, now affecting 1 in 36 children. The suppressed data suggested that African American boys were 286% more likely to be diagnosed with autism if vaccinated early. Thompson’s revelations have been largely ignored by the CDC, which has continued to expand its vaccine recommendations without addressing the potential risks he highlighted. Critics argue that this inaction reflects a broader pattern of prioritizing pharmaceutical interests over transparency and public health. The case has intensified scrutiny of the CDC’s role in managing vaccine safety information and protecting vulnerable populations.

8 in 10 Americans too tired to cook after work A recent survey indicates that 8 in 10 Americans are too exhausted to cook after work, with one-fifth of respondents admitting they have even fallen asleep whiletrying to prepare a meal. The survey, which included 2,000 employed adults, highlights the widespread fatigue and stress affecting workers, particularly after long or demanding workdays. As a consequence, many are opting for fast food, takeout, or simple, easy-to-prepare meals rather than cooking from scratch. The study found that 45% of respondents rely on quick and convenient food options at least three times a week, while 34% expressed feelings of guilt over not being able to cook healthier meals. This trend raises concerns about the impact of work-related stress on overall health, as exhausted workers often turn to less nutritious options, contributing to poor dietary habits. The findings underscore the importance of addressing work-life balance and the root causes of fatigue to encourage healthier eating habits and overall well-being. The study also suggests that employers and policymakers need to consider these issues when developing strategies to improve the quality of life for workers.
