Hour 1
Special Guest: Jonathan Emord
For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigator with a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for Townhall.com, PJ Media.com, Americangreatness.com, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. They reside in Clifton,
Former Top Fauci Aide Pleads Guilty to Federal Charges. Will He Flip on Fauci? Dr. David Morens, a former senior adviser to Dr. Anthony Fauci at the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases from 2006 to 2022, pleaded guilty Tuesday to one count of conspiracy to defraud the United States for using his private email account to discuss COVID-19 origins research and a terminated federal grant in an effort to bypass federal recordkeeping laws. Morens, 78, told a federal judge he intentionally redirected communications to protect Fauci and avoid future misinterpretation of the emails, with court filings indicating some messages were back-channeled to a senior NIAID official widely understood to be Fauci. The plea deal, which carries a potential five-year prison term and $250,000 fine though actual sentences are typically lower, follows an April indictment on five charges and includes admissions that Morens consulted with EcoHealth Alliance’s Peter Daszak to prepare briefings for Fauci promoting a natural origin of the virus. Analysts including Richard Ebright suggested Morens likely acted under Fauci’s orders and may have agreed to testify against him and others as part of a sealed plea arrangement, while Sen. Rand Paul questioned whether the plea could implicate Fauci, though Fauci has not been charged or named in the filings and previously denied a close advisory relationship with Morens. Sentencing is set for November 12.
Did ‘Disinformation Dozen’ Authors Team Up With Gavi to Target RFK Jr.’s Presidential Run? Internal minutes from January and February 2024 meetings of the Center for Countering Digital Hate reveal plans to collaborate with Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, on jointly organized roundtables aimed at countering anti-vaccine narratives and bringing public health figures back into public accountability efforts after such issues had fallen off the radar. Sayer Ji’s analysis of the leaked documents notes that CCDH did not disclose the Gavi relationship on its IRS Form 990 Schedule R filings for related organizations or funders, raising questions of a conflict-of-interest gap given CCDH’s concurrent Capitol Hill advocacy and references in the same minutes to black-ops activity against Robert F. Kennedy Jr. during his presidential campaign. CCDH had previously published the 2021 “Disinformation Dozen” list that included Kennedy and Ji, which was cited by Biden administration officials and correlated with subsequent social media deplatforming. Ji frames the undisclosed collaboration as potentially involving intentional concealment while Gavi, a major Gates Foundation-backed public-private partnership receiving sovereign funding including from the United States, commissioned efforts targeting vaccine-safety voices in the lead-up to the 2024 election.
Court upholds EPA rule forcing polluters to pay for ‘forever chemical’ pollution A panel of the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals on Tuesday upheld an Environmental Protection Agency rule designating the forever chemicals PFOA and PFOS as hazardous substances, rejecting an industry challenge that argued the agency failed to adequately consider costs. The designation, first advanced under the Biden administration and supported by the Trump administration, expands EPA authority under the Superfund law to investigate contaminated sites and hold polluting companies liable for cleanup expenses. In the opinion authored by Judge Patricia Millet, joined by Judges Gregory Katsas and Neomi Rao, the court found that the EPA adequately considered and reasonably explained its decision to regulate despite acknowledged uncertainties. Forever chemicals, or PFAS, persist in the environment for hundreds or thousands of years, with PFOA and PFOS among the most toxic and linked to cancer. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce, a plaintiff in the suit, disagreed with the ruling and said it is reviewing options, while environmental advocates including Earthjustice praised the decision for affirming polluter responsibility rather than shifting cleanup costs to taxpayers and communities.
New E-mail Shows Fauci and Others Knew About Serious Vaccine Injuries in May 2021 A May 27, 2021 email from then-acting FDA Commissioner Janet Woodcock to Anthony Fauci and NIH Director Francis Collins, released by Sen. Ron Johnson, reports that multiple people including healthcare professionals she knew had contacted her about adverse events following COVID-19 vaccination with any of the three available shots, describing symptoms that did not form a distinctive syndrome, were difficult to quantify with standard tests, and left patients frustrated that doctors did not take them seriously, knew of no treatments, and that no studies were underway. Woodcock stated systems like VAERS or CDC active follow-up would not detect such problems and recommended funding a cohort study by an investigator interested in medical mysteries while noting industry would likely not support it and that unresolved issues could later harm reputations. Fauci replied “Thanks” and messaged Collins that they could not ignore the report and should involve CDC Director Rochelle Walensky, yet public messaging continued to emphasize vaccine safety and effectiveness. Neurologist Matt Bain later noted that by mid-2021 VAERS already contained elevated reports of neurological injuries such as acute transverse myelitis and Guillain-Barré syndrome far exceeding historical rates for other vaccines, contradicting Woodcock’s claim that the system would miss such signals, while cumulative VAERS data through 2026 include hundreds of thousands of serious reports including hospitalizations, disabilities and deaths.
Does the PREP Act Shield Fauci & Walensky from Liability for Concealing Miscarriage Risk? The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness Act of 2005 authorizes the HHS Secretary to issue declarations granting broad tort liability immunity to covered persons for claims arising from the design, development, manufacture, distribution, administration or use of medical countermeasures during declared public health emergencies, with the sole narrow exception for willful misconduct that intentionally achieves a wrongful purpose, lacks legal or factual justification, and disregards a known or obvious risk so great that harm is highly likely to outweigh any benefit, proven by clear and convincing evidence after exhausting the Countermeasures Injury Compensation Program and litigated only before a three-judge panel in the District of Columbia. John Leake argues that this framework, which requires no objective factual basis for declaring or maintaining an emergency, enabled fraud and abuse during the COVID-19 response and questions whether Fauci and Walensky can rely on its shield regarding alleged concealment of miscarriage risk, noting that by August 2021 Walensky publicly acknowledged the vaccines did not prevent infection or transmission, rendering any protection for pregnant mothers theoretical, while attorneys might contend the officials did not know in spring 2021 that miscarriage risk outweighed theoretical benefits.Hour 2
Higher Fluoride Levels in Public Drinking Water During Pregnancy May Be Linked to Differences in Children’s Cognition Scores An NIH-supported ECHO Program study published in the American Journal of Epidemiology found that higher estimated fluoride levels in public drinking water during pregnancy were associated with lower childhood scores on tests of fluid cognition, including problem-solving, memory, attention and adaptability, specifically when levels approached or exceeded approximately 675 micrograms per liter near the current U.S. Public Health Service recommended level of 700 micrograms per liter. Among 2,514 children born between 2006 and 2019 and tested between ages 3 and 17, each additional 500 micrograms per liter above that threshold linked to an average 3.36-point lower fluid cognition score, with stronger associations observed in children younger than 7, while no link appeared with crystallized cognition such as vocabulary. Researchers estimated prenatal exposure by matching publicly available water system fluoride measurements to residential addresses and adjusted for factors including parental education and neighborhood characteristics, without measuring total fluoride from other sources. The observational findings demonstrate association rather than causation, do not evaluate overall benefits or risks of community water fluoridation, and the authors note the results may inform future guideline evaluations while calling for additional research on sensitive exposure windows.
Popular daily drinking habit could nearly triple risk of deadly cancer, major study finds A Mass General Brigham analysis of data from more than 100,000 participants in the Nurses’ Health Study and Health Professionals Follow-Up Study found that consuming one or more sugar-sweetened beverages daily was associated with a 2.45-times higher risk of gastric cancer compared with fewer than one serving per month after adjusting for other risk factors, with the association even stronger among women showing more than a threefold increase. The researchers defined sugar-sweetened drinks as regular sodas, fruit punches, lemonade and sports beverages in which fructose is the primary sweetener, and higher fructose intake consistently tracked with greater stomach cancer risk, while artificially sweetened drinks showed no such link. Senior author Andrew T. Chan noted rising gastrointestinal cancers particularly in people under 50 and suggested increasing sugary drink and ultra-processed food consumption may contribute, adding that a subset analysis found no connection between the drinks and Helicobacter pylori infection. The observational study published in Gastro Hep Advances demonstrates correlation rather than causation and was conducted primarily among White healthcare professionals, so findings require confirmation in more diverse populations.
Parkinson’s patient’s yearslong tremor vanishes within minutes of new ultrasound treatment Bud Leavell, a 72-year-old retired salesman and Air Force veteran in Arlington, Texas, diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2017, experienced immediate and complete resolution of his years-long right-hand tremor within minutes of undergoing focused ultrasound treatment at UT Southwestern Medical Center on April 13, with the improvement persisting at follow-up and enabling him to resume fine-motor hobbies such as repairing radios. Neuroradiologist Dr. Bhavya Shah explained that the non-invasive procedure, FDA-approved in January 2026 for primary motor symptoms of Parkinson’s including stiffness and slowness, focuses high-energy ultrasound waves across the skull onto discrete brain targets to heat and ablate nerve bundles responsible for pathologic electrical activity causing tremors, allowing low-energy test pulses beforehand to confirm the optimal target. Shah noted the approach serves as an alternative when medications lose effectiveness or cause side effects, contrasting with adjustable deep brain stimulation by lacking a reprogrammable device, so returning symptoms might require repeat treatment, while potential side effects occurring in 20 to 30 percent of cases include temporary numbness, gait or speech issues, weakness or balance problems that generally improve over time. Leavell described the outcome as dramatic and life-changing though not a cure, and Shah emphasized individualized discussion of pros and cons with a movement-disorder neurologist.
Equality Before the Law, Not Privilege by Group Membership Wanjiru Njoya argues that Ludwig von Mises defended the classical liberal principle of equality before the law as understood in the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, rejecting select classes of privileged persons and ensuring no group receives rights solely by membership unavailable to outsiders, in contrast to modern progressive notions of equal opportunities that institutionalize group identity as the unit for defining rights. She contends that this modern approach revives pre-liberal distinctions based on social pyramid status by substituting identity-group privileges, leading to uneven free-speech protections illustrated by a Minnesota conviction for a racial slur and differing UK treatment of similar inflammatory language depending on political affiliation. Drawing on Mises, Njoya emphasizes that true liberalism promotes the welfare of all rather than special groups, viewing peace sustained by equal legal rights as advantageous to both strong and weak, while group privileges foster hostility and conflict without public benefit. She distinguishes merit-based privileges such as legal qualifications for judges or private property rights, which serve the general welfare, from state-conferred identity privileges that benefit only the favored class and its defenders, warning that denying rights to any population segment invites united resistance and urging consistent free-speech application regardless of offense to particular groups.
An ‘Exercise Pill’ Just Cleared Its First Human Test Enveda announced positive Phase I results for its experimental drug ENV-308, designed to mimic the exercise-induced molecule N-lactoyl-phenylalanine or Lac-Phe that studies have linked to appetite suppression and weight loss in obese mice, showing the once-daily tablet candidate was safe and well-tolerated in 88 healthy adult volunteers with no serious adverse events, no discontinuations, and an exceptional gastrointestinal safety profile. The company reported early signals of activity including reduced circulating leptin levels consistent with animal data suggesting reversal of leptin resistance common in obesity. ENV-308 was identified through Enveda’s AI model and engineered for longer duration than natural Lac-Phe, positioning it as a potential tool for weight-loss maintenance and muscle preservation without the gastrointestinal side effects associated with GLP-1 drugs, though the company emphasizes it cannot fully replace exercise. Enveda plans a larger Phase II trial focused on weight-loss maintenance and is evaluating the compound for other conditions such as migraines and inflammatory bowel disease that might benefit from its exercise-like effects.Question of The Day!
