Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Special Guest: Jonathan Emord

For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigator with a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for, PJ,, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. They reside in Clifton, Virginia.

Corrupt Politics — Not Science — Behind EPA Regulations, Says Former EPA Scientist
E. G. Vallianatos, a former EPA scientist and author of “Poison Spring,” asserts that political influence, not science, drives EPA regulations. He recounts his 25-year career, highlighting the agency’s prioritization of industry interests over public health. Vallianatos details the scandal involving Industrial Bio-Test Laboratories, which conducted fraudulent toxicology studies to secure approvals for dangerous products. Despite efforts to expose the risks of pesticides, Vallianatos faced hostility and attempts to silence him. He underscores the ongoing high cancer rates among farmers due to pesticide exposure and criticizes the unregulated, polluting practices of large-scale animal farms. Vallianatos urges the public to support organic farming, oppose climate change deniers, and prioritize health over industry profits. He calls for an EPA that genuinely protects environmental and public health, free from industry influence.

White House Scrubs Joe Biden’s Transcript of Nine Embarrassing Errors, Gaffes
The White House corrected nine errors in President Joe Biden’s speech transcript delivered at the NAACP event, sparking concerns about his cognitive abilities. The corrected gaffes included Biden misstating that he was vice president during the COVID-19 pandemic, mispronouncing words, and making inaccurate claims. The corrections highlight ongoing scrutiny over Biden’s mental and physical fitness for office, with polls indicating that a significant portion of the public, including Democrats, doubts his capacity to serve a second term. The speech errors, combined with Biden’s health issues and frequent physical stumbles, have intensified debates about his suitability for the presidency, especially as he prepares for a potential re-election campaign.

EcoHealth Funding Suspension is Pure Theater
The U.S. House Committee on Oversight and Accountability’s announcement to suspend funding to EcoHealth Alliance, led by Peter Daszak, is criticized as performative and ineffective. The suspension stems from allegations of improper oversight and potential false statements related to gain-of-function research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology. However, the suspension is non-punitive and can be bypassed if deemed necessary by federal agencies. EcoHealth’s significant funding from the Department of Defense and the State Department for biodefense projects is largely ignored in the committee’s actions. Critics argue that the suspension is a distraction from the deeper issues of biodefense research and the role such research may have played in the COVID-19 pandemic, calling for genuine accountability and oversight.

Biden canceling student debt for more than 160,000 borrowers
President Biden announced the cancellation of student debt for over 160,000 borrowers, totaling $7.7 billion. This action, part of Biden’s broader student debt relief efforts, aims to provide financial relief to public service workers and those approved for fixes to income-driven repayment plans, including the newly established SAVE program. The latest initiative increases the total student debt relief under Biden’s administration to $167 billion for 4.75 million Americans. The announcement is part of Biden’s ongoing strategy to fulfill his campaign promise and appeal to young voters ahead of the upcoming election. This follows previous actions that provided debt relief to over 277,000 borrowers, targeting various groups including public service workers and individuals defrauded by their schools. The administration’s new plan seeks to address the challenges faced by millions of borrowers, though it may face legal challenges similar to previous efforts.

Maker of popular weedkiller amplifies fight against cancer-related lawsuits
Bayer, the maker of the widely used weedkiller Roundup, is intensifying efforts to seek legal protections against numerous lawsuits alleging that its product causes cancer. Despite facing around 170,000 lawsuits and setting aside $16 billion for settlements, Bayer continues to dispute the claims that Roundup’s key ingredient, glyphosate, causes non-Hodgkin lymphoma. The company is lobbying for legislation to shield it from liability if product labels comply with EPA regulations, after failing to pass such measures in Missouri, Iowa, and Idaho. Bayer warns that continued litigation may force it to withdraw Roundup from the U.S. market, which could impact farmers who rely on the herbicide. The company plans to push for legislative changes in more states next year while grappling with the financial and operational impacts of the ongoing legal battles.

Afraid of “Misinformation”? The Feds Are Here to Help
Government health authorities are planning new strategies to combat online misinformation, sparking concerns about free speech and censorship. A recent CDC article in The Lancet outlines methods such as “prebunking” to inform individuals about potential misinformation, “platform-based friction intervention” to limit the spread of disfavored content, and regulatory actions against health professionals who disseminate misinformation. Critics highlight the hypocrisy of these efforts, pointing to past instances where reputable sources like The Lancet and the CDC themselves disseminated misleading information during the COVID-19 pandemic. These actions underscore ongoing debates about balancing the need for accurate public health information with the protection of free speech. The article calls for vigilance against authoritarian measures and emphasizes the importance of maintaining the ability to critically engage with health information.

Hour 2

U.S. Government ‘Cartel’ Paid CVS, Walgreens Billions to Reject Ivermectin Prescriptions, Push COVID Shots
An exposé by Dr. James Thorp and attorney Maggie Thorp alleges that the U.S. government paid large pharmacy chains like CVS and Walgreens billions of dollars to promote COVID-19 vaccines and reject prescriptions for ivermectin. The article claims that nearly $200 billion in “provider relief funds” were allocated to hospitals and pharmacies to suppress the use of ivermectin despite its potential efficacy against COVID-19. Dr. Pierre Kory, in his book “The War on Ivermectin,” highlighted the suppression of the drug during the pandemic, noting that hospitals and pharmacies refused to fill prescriptions. The Thorps argue that promoting ivermectin could have undermined the market for mRNA vaccines, leading to a significant financial loss for the “medical-industrial complex.” The article calls for further investigation into the financial incentives and accountability for the misinformation spread by trusted sources. It suggests that the government’s actions prioritized profits over public health, suppressing effective treatments in favor of more profitable vaccines.
