Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Special Guest: Jonathan Emord

For the past 37 years, Jonathan W. Emord has litigated against the federal bureaucracy, winning over and over again. Ron Paul calls Jonathan “an expert in constitutional theory and history” and “an expert litigator with a long string of legal victories over the federal bureaucracy.” George Noory calls him “a Knight in Shining Armor” and “a warrior out to save our rights.” Congressmen Dan Burton and John Doolittle describe him as “an intellectual warrior for the rights and freedoms of people in America.” Jonathan has a unique, detailed knowledge of the federal bureaucracy, the deep state. He knows how to defeat it. Jonathan graduated from the University of Illinois (BA, political science and history, 1982) and DePaul University College of Law (JD, 1985). He served as an attorney in the Federal Communications Commission during the Reagan administration. A leading constitutional law and litigation expert, he is the author of five critically acclaimed books. He has won more cases against the Food and Drug Administration in federal court than any other attorney in American history, earning him the nickname “FDA Dragon Slayer.” He is a columnist for, PJ,, and the U.S.A. Today Magazine. He frequently appears on national radio and television programs. He is married to Sheryl Emord, and they have two children, twins Justice and Angelica. They reside in Clifton, Virginia.

Durbin Strikes Back – Senator Dick Durbin is reintroducing legislation requiring mandatory product listing for dietary supplements, sparking concern among natural health advocates. This move, seen as unnecessary regulation, could limit consumer choices and lead towards restrictions not based on safety or public health. Critics argue this represents another instance of FDA alignment with pharmaceutical interests over natural health, potentially leading to a reduction in available supplement options and stifling industry innovation. The call to action encourages a grassroots response to oppose the legislation, emphasizing the importance of preserving access to a wide range of supplements for health and wellness.

Donald Trump: RFK Jr. ‘Is Crooked Joe Biden’s Political Opponent, Not Mine’ – Donald Trump expressed support for RFK Jr.’s independent presidential run, viewing it as beneficial to his own campaign by potentially dividing opposition votes. Trump’s comments highlight the complex dynamics of electoral politics and strategy. He characterizes RFK Jr. and his running mate, Nicole Shanahan, as radical leftists, implying their candidacy could detract from Biden’s support base, thereby aiding Trump’s election prospects.

Migration Advocates Use Bridge Deaths to Push for More Migration – The tragic deaths of migrant workers in the Baltimore bridge disaster are being used by migration advocates to argue for increased migration. The response to this tragedy highlights the ongoing debate over immigration policy and its implications for labor and safety. Critics argue that the exploitation of such events for policy advocacy overlooks the complex factors at play in migration and labor markets, calling for a more nuanced approach to immigration and worker protection.

Matthews: Autocrats gonna mandate: health insurance, vaccines, EVs and more – Merrill Matthews criticizes the trend of governmentmandates, from health insurance under the Affordable Care Act to COVID-19 vaccines and now a push towards electric vehicles (EVs). He sees these actions as indicative of an autocratic mindset among progressive elites, aiming to dictate personal and societal choices. Matthews argues this approach disregards individual preferences, such as the desire for gas-powered vehicles over EVs, despite government incentives and stricter emissions regulations. He highlights how such mandates, while intended to serve public or environmental health, often meet resistance or fail to achieve their goals, as seen with declining EV demand. This commentary reflects broader concerns over governmental overreach and the balance between public good and individual freedom, warning against the coercive imposition of policies that many may not align with or desire.

Hour 2

The Simple Key To Happiness: Hydration – Study Finds – A new survey highlights that staying hydrated is a simple yet effective way to boost happiness and well-being. Conducted by OnePoll for True Lemon, the poll surveyed 2,000 American adults and found that drinking enough water is linked to higher levels of happiness. Specifically, those who drank 10 or more glasses of water daily reported significantly greater joy in life’s small pleasures and identified as “glass half full” optimists more often than those who drank less water. In contrast, dehydration was associated with negative physical and emotional states, including low energy, headaches, muscle cramps, low mood, irritability, frustration, and anxiety. The survey also revealed that many people find plain water boring, with 61% using additives to enhance its taste. Effective hydration strategies included carrying a water bottle, drinking water first thing in the morning, and setting daily intake goals. The findings underscore the wide-ranging benefits of hydration on both mental and physical health, suggesting that maintaining adequate water intake is a key component of overall happiness and optimism.
