Thursday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

Sacred Fire of Liberty!

It’s that time of the week where we get to explore the political healing that this country needs so desperately! Jonathan Emord is back to help us dissect the latest political news that’s fit to print:

Russia: New Cold War is Over, We Are Now in ‘Hot Conflict With the United States’ The United States is “playing with fire” and engaged in a hot “hybrid war” with Russia, having already graduated from the Cold War stage, a Russian government minister has claimed, incredibly even going so far as to blame the U.S. for rising nuclear tensions. The new Cold War is already over, a Kremlin spokesman has said, apparently looking past Russia’s own role in invading Ukraine and accusing the United States of “playing with fire” by pushing the world towards nuclear war that he insists Russians wish to avoid. The comments come just hours after Russia announced it had deployed nuclear-capable missiles to the borders of NATO in Belarus, and refitted Belarussian jets with the equipment to carry and drop nuclear bombs. Moscow made a tacit accusation that the United States was to blame for this, saying Russia was doing no more than America already did, in stationing nuclear weapons in the territory of European allies. Speaking Wednesday, Russia’s deputy foreign minister Sergey Ryabkov made the ‘hot war’ comments and said, per a release on his discussion from a government-controlled news and propaganda service: “I think we have already passed this period [of Cold War]. Now we are in the phase of a hot conflict with the United States. We are witnessing the direct involvement of that country in a hybrid war with Russia on various fronts”.

Donald Trump Pleads Not Guilty to 34 Counts of Falsifying Business Records in the First Degree Former President Donald Trump pleaded not guilty to 34 counts of falsifying business records in the first degree Tuesday afternoon during his historic arraignment. Trump was arrested around 1:35 p.m. and appeared before the judge, who charged him with 34 counts of falsifying business records, at 2:45 p.m. Trump pleaded not guilty to indictment No. 71543-23. Per the judge’s orders, the media was not allowed to live stream the court proceedings. Photographers, however, were allowed to enter the courtroom to take photos before the proceedings began. The photographers captured images for a few minutes before they were seen leaving the courtroom. CBS News’s Scott MacFarlane described the courtroom “as stuffy, warm, and feeling like an old middle school, not like ornate federal courtrooms.” The former president entered police custody around 1:30 p.m. in the Manhattan courthouse where he surrendered to authorities before the arraignment. Before ducking into a vehicle on his way to the courthouse, he turned, waved, and gave his supporters a fist bump.

Even some left-leaning publications are saying the Manhattan DA’s criminal case against Donald Trump is anything but a slam dunk When the New York “hush-money” indictment against Donald Trump was finally revealed on Tuesday, many legal experts agreed it didn’t appear to be an airtight, slam-dunk case from Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. And even among left-leaning publications like New York Magazine’s Intelligencer, The New Republic, and Vox, there seems to be a growing consensus that the case against the former president is going to be tough for prosecutors to win. Trump was charged by a Manhattan grand jury with 34 felony counts of falsifying business records in an indictment related to hush-money payments to two women, including porn star Stormy Daniels, before the 2016 presidential election. In a statement of facts filed alongside the indictment, prosecutors allege that from August 2015 to December 2017, Trump “orchestrated a scheme with others to influence the 2016 presidential election by identifying and purchasing negative information about him to suppress its publication and benefit” Trump’s “electoral prospects.” However, Trump is not being charged with election law violations or conspiracy, and legal experts say the underlying crime that Trump is accused of committing — which would justify upgrading the charges against him from misdemeanors to felonies — is strikingly missing from the indictment.

McCarthy: China Should Lose Most-Favored Trade Status and We’ll Move to Revoke It During a portion of an interview aired on Wednesday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Ingraham Angle,” House Speaker Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA) stated that China’s most-favored nation trade status should be revoked and the House will move to do so. Host Laura Ingraham asked, [relevant exchange begins around 5:50] “[W]hy should China continue to enjoy most-favored nation status in trade with the United States? Why?” McCarthy answered, “One, they should not. I mean, we’ve watched what the past administration — President Trump — had been able to accomplish with China, standing up to China, so it wasn’t China begging America to talk. China was begging to talk to America.” Ingraham then said, “But we need legislation.” McCarthy responded, “Yeah, and that’s what our job is, and…let our committees take the action to move forward and do just that. That’s what we’re doing.” McCarthy also discussed his meeting with Taiwanese President Tsai Ing-wen earlier in the day and stated that China doesn’t get to dictate who he meets with and that he won’t be intimidated by China like the NBA was.

6 Reasons Legislators Should Reject WHO’s Pandemic Proposals Democracies and sane societies are built on rationalism and honesty. They may not always exhibit this, but these values must underpin major decisions. Without them, neither democracy nor justice is sustainable. They are replaced by a structure in which the few dictate to the many, and the excesses of feudalism, slavery, or fascism rise to dominance. This is why so many fought so hard, for so long, in defense of these ideals. People in democratic countries then elect representatives to the privileged position of guardians of their freedom. The World Health Organization (WHO) is promoting a pandemic treaty and amendments to the existing International Health Regulations (IHR), to increase its power during health emergencies. These proposals also broaden the scope of emergencies to include potential rather than actual harm. The draft treaty suggests a definition of “One Health” that encompasses any occurrence in the biosphere that could impact human well-being. This decision-making power will be placed in the hands of a single person, the WHO director-general. The WHO will require countries to sign on to these agreements to suppress and censor the voices of those who question the director-deneral’s dictates.

Hour 2

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to Challenge Joe Biden in 2024 Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has pledged to challenge President Joe Biden in his 2024 reelection bid, joining Marianne Williamson as one of the few Democrats to do so. The nephew of former President John F. Kennedy and son of his equally iconic brother, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., filed a statement of candidacy Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission, according to the Associated Press. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has made no formal statement on the matter, but he has been vehemently critical of the Biden administration, especially in its push for the coronavirus vaccine mandate. He also spoke about a presidential run in early March of this year. “I’m thinking about it, and I’ve passed the biggest hurdle, which is my wife has green lighted it,” Kennedy said during a visit to St. Anselm College. “We can’t advance ourselves as a people by leaving our poorer brothers and sisters behind. The things that define our nation are these communities, and they are based on the Constitution,” he added. When mulling his presidential run, Kennedy issued a sharp rebuke to the pharmaceutical industry and the government’s failure to regulate big business.

Anti-vaccine activist RFK Jr. challenging Biden in 2024 Democrat Robert F. Kennedy Jr., an anti-vaccine activist and scion of one of the country’s most famous political families, is running for president. Kennedy filed a statement of candidacy Wednesday with the Federal Election Commission. The 69-year-old’s campaign to challenge incumbent President Joe Biden for the Democratic nomination is a long shot. Self-help author Marianne Williamson is also running in the Democratic race. Kennedy, a nephew of President John F. Kennedy and the son of his slain brother Robert F. Kennedy, was once a bestselling author and environmental lawyer who worked on issues such as clean water. But more than 15 years ago, he became fixated on a belief that vaccines are not safe. He emerged as one of the leading voices in the anti-vaccine movement, and his work has been described by public health experts and even members of his own family as misleading and dangerous. Kennedy had been long involved in the anti-vaccine movement, but the effort intensified after the COVID-19 pandemic and development of the COVID-19 vaccine.

The film reveals some of the most complicated issues of child sexual abuse and the broader cultural patterns that help perpetuate it.

As an award winning filmmaker, Michealene Cristini Risley co-wrote and directed Tapestries of Hope, a feature-length documentary that exposes the myth behind the belief that raping a virgin cures a man of HIV/AIDS. Her trip to Zimbabwe resulted in her being imprisoned and deported in an attempt by the Mugabe-led government police to quash her telling the story of Betty Makoni, a Zimbabwean child and human rights activist (a CNN top 10 hero for 2009) whose Girl Child Network rescues abused girls and provides them counseling, healing and educational support. WHO Guidance on Shots for Kids Contradicts Fauci Since the mRNA vaccines rolled out in late 2020, a group of committed public health activists in the United States have tirelessly worked to ensure that every human being in the country is vaccinated. Unsurprisingly, that group, including Dr. Fauci, the CDC, FDA, local public health departments and various Twitter doctors, have refused to discuss the many harms and trade offs, while senselessly treating every individual as if they have the same level of risk. They’ve purposefully ignored the importance of natural immunity, choosing to downplay so as not to detract from their goal of universal vaccination. The country’s leading public health agency, the CDC, has also consistently downplayed valid concerns regarding vaccine-linked myocarditis, while privately receiving a number of disturbing reports about cases. Recently Fauci, the CDC and their allies were dealt yet another blow as the World Health Organization made a stunning announcement directly contradicting nearly two and a half years of domestic “expert” assertions. In a remarkable rebuke, the World Health Organization has stated that young healthy people do not need to be vaccinated against COVID. The WHO posted updated guidance on their website, which created a new hierarchy of priorities for COVID vaccination. Groups are now labeled high, medium, or low for “risk of severe disease and death.”
