Hour 1
‘High Certainty’ Cellphone Radiation Linked to Cancer in Animals, WHO Study Finds A World Health Organization-commissioned systematic review, published April 25 in Environmental International, concluded with “high certainty” that cellphone radiofrequency-electromagnetic fields (RF-EMF) cause malignant gliomas in the brain and malignant schwannomas in the heart in animal studies, with moderate certainty for increased risks of rare liver and adrenal gland tumors. The review analyzed 88 studies, including the National Toxicology Program’s $30 million study, which found “clear evidence” of heart tumors and “some evidence” of brain and adrenal gland tumors in male rats. These findings align with human studies showing similar tumor types, prompting experts like Ron Melnick, Ph.D., from the International Commission on the Biological Effects of Electromagnetic Fields, to assert that the evidence is clear for animal carcinogenicity, urging the WHO to classify wireless radiation as a “known human carcinogen.” The study’s implications challenge existing safety standards, as animal studies are critical for predicting human cancer risks. Critics argue that the telecommunications industry has historically suppressed such findings, citing the National Institutes of Health’s refusal to release 2,500 pages of records related to the NTP’s halted research. The review calls for immediate policy action to protect public health from wireless radiation exposure.
Special Guest: Johann IIgenfritz
Johann Ilgenfritz attained his Master in Photography in Germany, working successfully as a Fashion Photographer for almost 20 years in Hamburg and London. His life changed drastically in 2011 when he had a heart attack and six month later was diagnosed with cancer.
After unsuccessful Radio Therapy he was left to find other survival options which he did. During his search for a cure he turned to the internet, soon realising that there was no one central point where you could turn to for health information, regardless of what your health issue are. He decided on creating just such a platform and six weeks later, launched the beta version of UK Health Radio, still fighting cancer at the time.
Through Nutritional and Lifestyle changes he finally beat cancer and since then has been named “The Curator of Health Expertise” by the press. His mantra is “Good health is a choice”! He went from believing that cancer was the cause of his illness to realising that cancer was only a symptom of an already sick body. He knew if he could change the cause he would change the effect. Through his vision, UK Health Radio (www.ukhealthradio.com) has attained a very clear purpose, this is to inform and animate people to take responsibility for their own health. This does not mean taking your health into your own hands, but to be part of the process of attaining and/or keeping your health freedom. It is all about being informed, being empowered and being healthy!
UK Health Radio has the most in-depth information on the widest range of health and wellness topics – available anywhere today. All aspects of health and wellness, fitness, diet and nutrition, illness prevention and environment issues, but with the main focus on prevention rather than cure. Hour 2
Kennedy planning $20 million HHS ‘Take Back Your Health’ ad campaign HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is launching a four-year, $20 million public relations campaign named “Take Back Your Health” to address chronic health issues by encouraging Americans to adopt healthier habits such as better nutrition and regular exercise. The initiative includes a fitness challenge expanding the Presidents’ Youth Fitness program to adults and will involve up to three daily ads on five major television networks, with labor costs estimated at $20 million and additional tens of millions for ad purchases. The campaign, likened to Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative, coincides with proposed budget cuts that could eliminate 10,000 HHS jobs and divisions like global health and domestic HIV prevention. A request for proposals seeks a PR firm to manage the campaign, and HHS is also exploring a graphic vinyl wrap for its headquarters to promote a “healthy America.” An HHS official emphasized that the campaign aligns with the department’s mission to empower informed health decisions, though specifics on increased spending for nutrition or healthcare remain unclear. Critics question the campaign’s funding priorities amid budget reductions, while supporters see it as a positive step toward public health empowerment.
FDA appears to be slow-walking vaccine approvals The FDA, under scrutiny for delays in vaccine approvals, has faced challenges since HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s confirmation, given his history of vaccine skepticism. Recent approvals for GSK’s Penmenvy meningococcal vaccine and Bavarian Nordic’s Vikmunya chikungunya vaccine occurred shortly after Kennedy’s appointment, but concerns persist about potential slowdowns. Experts note that Kennedy, overseeing the FDA, could influence vaccine policy by appointing like-minded officials, altering advisory committees, or tightening approval criteria, though legal and bureaucratic constraints limit drastic changes. The resignation of Dr. Peter Marks, former head of the FDA’s vaccine division, who cited Kennedy’s “misinformation and lies,” highlights tensions. Marks’ departure followed pressure to resign or face termination, raising fears of eroded scientific integrity. Kennedy’s allies argue he seeks transparency and safety, but critics, including public health experts, warn that undermining vaccine confidence could exacerbate outbreaks, like the ongoing measles cases in Texas. The FDA’s career scientists typically handle approvals, but political interference remains a risk. Delays could discourage pharmaceutical innovation, while Kennedy’s focus on chronic disease and nutrition may shift resources away from infectious disease programs, impacting public health preparedness.
