Sunday on The Robert Scott Bell Show:

This week on Saturday Conversations here on the PTL Network, I want to return to one of the most foundational healing truths we can talk about: food is medicine. Not as a trendy phrase. Not as a marketing slogan. I mean it in the oldest, deepest, most biblical sense. God gives us the grasses, the herbs, the fruit trees, the seeds, and the living substances of creation, and then invites us to recognize that the body was never designed to be sustained by manmade poisons masquerading as health care.

I begin this conversation with Genesis, because that is where the foundation is laid. Before there are pharmaceutical systems, before there are oncology departments, before there are protocols built around fear, there is creation itself. There are seed-bearing plants, fruit-bearing trees, and the provision of God for the nourishment of the body, mind, and spirit. That is where food as medicine begins.

In this episode, I sit down with my dear friend John Richardson Jr. of rncstore.com, whose family has carried forward one of the most controversial and compelling conversations in natural healing: apricot seeds, amygdalin, laetrile, and what many know as vitamin B-17. Now, I know that for some people, those words immediately trigger fear, skepticism, or memories of what they have been told by the medical establishment. That is exactly why this conversation matters.

John brings forward the story of his father, Dr. John Richardson, and the work that places him directly in conflict with a system built around conventional cancer treatment. But this is not a conversation about tellinganyone what they must do. I do not do that. This is about choice, agency, discernment, and the right to know that there may be more than one path when facing the fear that comes with a cancer diagnosis.

We also talk about the strange and powerful history behind vitamin B-17, including why it becomes so aggressively dismissed, why the fear of cyanide is used as a warning label against it, and why the actual biochemical conversation is far more nuanced than the scare headlines would have you believe. This is not about reckless claims. It is about asking better questions and refusing to let fear be the only voice in the room.

And yes, we get into a story involving President Ronald Reagan that many people have likely never heard. It is a remarkable historical thread connecting cancer, natural approaches, medical politics, and the question of why certain stories remain buried while others are repeated endlessly. I won’t give the whole thing away here, but I will say this: if you think you already know the full story of laetrile, cancer, and medical suppression, you may want to listen closely.

At the heart of this conversation is a much bigger issue than one seed, one nutrient, or one protocol. It is about whether we still trust the wisdom of creation. It is about whether we can look at the foods God gave us and ask why modern life has stripped so many of them down, removed the seeds, processed away the nourishment, and then called the resulting deficiency normal.

We also return to the spiritual nature of healing. Proverbs reminds us that better is a dinner of herbs where love is than a stalled ox with hatred. That matters. Healing is not only about what we put into the body, but the spirit in which we receive it. Fear, panic, hatred, and warfare against the body can exhaust us. Love, nourishment, prayer, and truth can restore something much deeper.

This Saturday Conversation is an invitation to rethink food, cancer, healing, and the body as temple. It is not about replacing your discernment with mine or anyone else’s. It is about remembering that God gives us agency, creation gives us medicine, and the power to heal belongs closer to home than we have been taught to believe.
